2024 Annual Review
Dear Friends,
Every year is eventful, marked by world events, new life or loss, and unforgettable adventures. The most important events of the time pass into memory, but their consequences continue to play out. God is always at work, sometimes directly it would seem, bringing about unexpected good things.
To us, 1965 is significant as the year the Methodist Christian Higher Education Foundation was formed. For sixty years, the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation—as we are now named—has attempted to cooperate with the good things that our Lord is doing. Thanks to the generosity of folks like you, we have participated in the often unacknowledged work of making higher education more affordable for thousands of people. You have helped provide a witness to the truth. God continues to work and is not done with us.
I invite you to review below the ways our shared work in 2024 impacted the lives of students and our United Methodist institutions. Thank you for all your support during the last year and throughout the past decades.
Gratefully,
Dr. Philip Jamieson, UMHEF President & CEO
2024 Scholars Say "Thank You"

“Thank you so much for your generous support. Due to help of paying for school through scholarships like you, I am able to be more involved in the community and focus on my studies.”

Ezechiel Habwawihe, 2024 recipient of the John and Barbara Dadd Shaffer Scholarship and student at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary
For six decades, UMHEF has helped shape the lives of students, their families, and the institutions and churches they attend. In so doing, the foundation and the generous people who share its mission have transformed the world. Recipients of scholarships twenty, thirty, or even sixty years ago have gone on to pursue a wide range of career paths, with many becoming leaders in the Church and other fields.
