Schools and Conferences

United Methodist-related institutions of higher education as well as UM conference foundations may choose to partner with UMHEF through the UM Dollars for Scholars (UMDFS) program. This scholarship award begins with $1,000 from a qualifying student’s church, is matched by UMHEF for a total of $2,000, and may be matched by participating UM conference foundations as well as participating schools for a possible total of up to $4,000.

If you are a school or conference foundation that has partnered with UMHEF to support students, checks should be made out to UMHEF, include notation of the student associated with the gift (if applicable), and sent to:

Beginning in 2023, applicants may be members of The United Methodist Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, AME Zion Church, or Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. We will continue to let our UM Dollars for Scholars applicants know that it is up to each partnering school and conference foundation who receives the Triple and Quadruple matches.
