Scholarships for United Methodist Students
We’re providing scholarships for United Methodist students, and select others, attending United Methodist-related schools.
Affordability is an increasingly present challenge for many seeking a quality higher education. The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation is committed to making it financially possible for United Methodist students to attend United Methodist-related colleges, universities, and seminaries.
Every year, we award more than $2 million in scholarships to hundreds of students. In turn, we support the 100+ United Methodist-related schools at which they hope to enroll.
UMHEF Scholarship Programs
UMHEF offers two main scholarship programs. Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year are open to U.S. students through April 15. To learn more, choose a program below.
In addition to these two main programs, UMHEF offers a handful of other scholarship awards designated for students who meet special criteria, including for:
- students attending UM-related Historically Black Colleges and Universities,
- students who plan to serve as a chaplain in the U.S. military,
- students who are deaf or hearing impaired and planning to serve in ministry,
- and more!
Join us in supporting United Methodist students and the UM schools they hope to attend!
