Wesley Heritage Society logoThe Wesleyan Heritage Society is a group of individuals who wish to include UMHEF in their estate plans or have established a legacy gift during their lifetime.

UMHEF Planned Giving in 3 Easy Steps

Here are the steps to establish a planned gift with UMHEF and join the Wesleyan Heritage Society.

1. Start the conversation.

Complete the planned giving inquiry form, email the development team at development@umhef.org, or call 615-649-3970.

2. Create a statement of intent.

Download the UMHEF Statement of Intent template and send it to UMHEF via email attachment or regular mail (UMHEF Development Office, P.O. Box 340005, Nashville, TN 37203-0005).

We recommend you also share your Statement of Intent with your loved ones. The statement document is not a legal document and in no way restricts your ability to change or cancel your plans at any time. UMHEF staff will be honored to assist if you have any questions.

3. Create and sign a Planned Giving Agreement

This is an agreement that outlines the details of your plan. It is important to know that a UMHEF planned or legacy gift can be given in your lifetime and can take many forms, depending on the type of planned gift you want to establish. This is ultimately reviewed and signed by you and a UMHEF representative. All involved parties should save a copy of the agreement.

You can update an existing agreement with UMHEF by submitting an updated document or addendum, also reviewed and signed by you and a UMHEF representative. We recommend you review your plan with an attorney to ensure it works with your overall estate plans, and share it with your loved ones.
