The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation (UMHEF) is seeking an inspiring and faith-centered leader to serve as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. This is a rare opportunity to guide a nationally respected foundation that has, since 1965, provided more than $2 million annually in scholarships to students attending United Methodist-related colleges, universities, and seminaries.

With partnerships across more than 100 institutions, an annual operating budget of $3.5 million, and a mission rooted in reducing barriers to higher education, UMHEF is preparing for its next chapter of growth. The President and CEO will provide strategic leadership, cultivate donor relationships, steward financial resources, and serve as the public voice of the Foundation. This role requires both vision and heart: the ability to navigate change in higher education and the Church, while also building trust with students, donors, and United Methodist leaders.

The ideal candidate will be a proven fundraiser and relationship builder, with senior leadership experience and a strong understanding of Methodist tradition. They will bring both financial acumen and a collaborative spirit, inspiring staff and trustees while broadening the Foundation’s reach and impact.

This position is based in Nashville, Tennessee, with flexibility but significant in-person presence expected. Compensation is competitive, with a salary range of $175,000–$200,000 commensurate with experience.
