Advent 2025: Week Two Reflection
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom God favors!” – Luke 2:14
This Week’s Reflection
What is peace for you?
Peace comes to us threaded into the ragged seams of our restless earth. Its touch is revealed when mercy bends toward the broken, when justice takes shape in our hands, when grace and action meet in streets, kitchens and classrooms. It is the peace the angels proclaimed loudly and boldly in the coming of God in Jesus. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. reminds, “True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.” In our scrappy daily labors in service to God’s peace, we are held, and we rise together toward kin-dom community.
