Entrusted with Partnership Highlighting UMHEF Partners in Ministry

As a part of our look back at the impact and reach of UMHEF’s work in 2025, we celebrate the organizations with whom we work that have been entrusted with the ministry of partnership. We have cultivated meaningful, life-changing relationships with United Methodist Foundations that have made possible scholarship support for countless students.
Through the UM Dollars for Scholars program, more than two dozen United Methodist conference foundations promise to provide “quadruple your dollars” matches, in most cases bringing each award total up to $4,000.
One of these foundations is the Oklahoma Methodist Foundation. Under the leadership of President Billy Meade, OMF provided 11 scholarship matches in 2025 alone.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to invest in our students’ futures,” Mr. Meade shared. “The [UM Dollars for Scholars] program’s matching component is a powerful example of connection in action, enabling each of us to amplify our individual gifts and collectively create greater opportunities and support for Oklahoma students.”
Karci Vadder attends Oklahoma City University thanks, in part, to her UM Dollars for Scholars award. With less financial burden, she’s been able to have a meaninful part in the OCU community. She serves regularly through Kappa Phi, Students of Arts Management, OCU Wesley, and Okeene Methodist Church.
