Scholarships for HBCU Students
The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation offers scholarships for select HBCU students. Every year UMHEF awards $2+ million in scholarships to help Methodist students attend college and seminary!
The following Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are recognized by the United Methodist Church’s University Senate:
- Bennett College
- Bethune-Cookman University
- Claflin University
- Clark Atlanta University
- Dillard University
- Gammon Theological Seminary
- Huston-Tillotson University
- Paine College
- Philander Smith University
- Rust College
- Wiley University
Students attending these schools and who meet other criteria may be eligible for select UMHEF scholarships worth up to $5,000! Learn more. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2024.
